Overview
Grava is a company that offers adventure packages to make it easier for people to get out into nature. They provide everything you need in a convenient bundle, so you don't have to spend time shopping for gear. Whether you want to go bike-packing or explore the outdoors in any other way, Grava has you covered. With their help, you can get out there faster and start enjoying your adventure right away.
Approach
The Don Miller Story Brand framework was used to identify the target audience, provide solutions to their needs, and offer rewards for doing business. This established the brand tone and laid the groundwork for the brand identity, which included designing a logo and visual language elements. Testing was conducted throughout the process to ensure effective audience engagement. Additionally, swag was created and made available for purchase on their website, and a social media strategy was developed in collaboration with their social team, along with assets for execution.
Brand Script
I confidently employ Donald Miller's Story Brand Framework to craft exceptional brands. I lead CEO Aaron Johnson and their board of directors through a workshop, to construct a script that outlines clear objectives identified Grava's target audience, establishes the appropriate tone, and created a captivating one-liner. To gauge our success, we actively seek feedback from individuals to ensure our script is effective.
Brand Identity
We wanted the logo to represent the wild: wilderness, mountains, bravery, and exploration. We chose the compass G. It best resonated with the stakeholders and performed very well with the testing group.
Products
Working with their team has been a great experience as I designed an array of items such as t-shirts, bike frames, and stickers based on their ideas. It has been an enjoyable and exciting project to be a part of.
Results
The client's brand has been gaining momentum gradually. They were very pleased with the work done, and things are looking positive for their business.
Lessons
Through this project, I was able to gain a better understanding of social media strategy. I delved into the topic and acquired new skills in the field of social marketing, including language positioning, audience generation, and conversion optimization. Prior to this project, social media strategy had been somewhat of a mystery to me, but now I feel more confident in my abilities in this area.
